1. Who we are

BriqLab is an AI workspace for Power BI professionals — used by analysts, consultants, and BI teams to review dashboards, generate DAX, build themes, and put together reporting work faster. Alongside the web app, we publish a set of certified custom visuals on Microsoft AppSource that plug into the same workflow.

In these terms, "BriqLab", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the team that builds and operates the product. "You" and "your" refer to the person or organization using BriqLab.

These terms cover anything you do on the BriqLab website, inside the workspace, or through our custom visuals — whether you're on the free plan or a paid one. They apply from the moment you create an account or pay for a subscription.

2. What BriqLab is

BriqLab is an AI-powered web application that helps Power BI professionals review dashboards, generate DAX, define KPIs, build themes, design with templates, and use Microsoft AppSource certified custom visuals. We offer a free plan, a Pro plan, and a Consultant plan.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. If you're using BriqLab on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

4. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us straight away at hello@briqlab.io if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for losses arising from your failure to protect your credentials.

One account per individual, unless you are subscribed to the Consultant tier with team seats. Sharing a single Pro account across multiple users is not permitted and may result in suspension.

5. Subscription plans and billing

5.1 Plans

BriqLab offers a free plan and paid subscription plans (Pro and Consultant). The features included in each plan, along with current pricing, are listed on our pricing page.

5.2 Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance via our payment processor (Razorpay). You authorize us to charge your selected payment method automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel.

5.3 Price changes

We may change the price of our plans at any time. If we do, we will notify existing subscribers at least 30 days before the change takes effect. You may cancel before the new price applies to avoid being charged at the new rate.

5.4 GST and taxes

All prices on our website are in Indian Rupees (INR) and may be exclusive or inclusive of GST as stated. GST-compliant invoices are available on request to hello@briqlab.io.

5.5 Failed payments

If a recurring payment fails, we will retry the payment and notify you by email. If the payment continues to fail, we may suspend or downgrade your account until payment is resolved.

6. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by writing to hello@briqlab.io. Cancellation stops future billing but does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid, except as set out in our Refund Policy.

If you cancel, your access continues until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the free tier.

7. Permitted use

You may use BriqLab to support your own work or your organization's work, including paid client engagements if you are on the Consultant tier. You may not:

• Use BriqLab to build a competing product or service
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute BriqLab access without our written permission
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract source code or AI prompts
• Generate content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, or designed to mislead
• Upload screenshots or data you do not have the right to use
• Circumvent usage limits, paywalls, or access controls
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access BriqLab without our written permission

8. Templates, themes, visuals, and downloads

8.1 Free assets

Some templates, themes, and icons are available on the free plan. These may be used for personal learning and internal projects. Commercial use is not permitted on the free plan.

8.2 Pro plan assets

Pro subscribers may use templates, themes, icons, and AppSource visuals included with their subscription for their own work or their employer's internal work. Pro does not include rights to use the assets in commercial client deliverables that are sold or licensed to third parties.

8.3 Consultant plan assets

Consultant subscribers receive a commercial-use license. You may use templates, themes, icons, and AppSource visuals in paid client work, including white-labelled deliverables, for as long as your subscription remains active. If your subscription ends, your right to use assets in new client work ends, though already-delivered work to existing clients is not affected.

8.4 One-time purchases

Where you purchase a single template or theme as a one-time purchase (rather than a subscription), you receive a perpetual license to use that single asset for personal or internal work. The same restriction on commercial client deliverables applies as in the Pro plan unless you upgrade to Consultant.

9. AI-generated content

BriqLab uses AI models to generate dashboard reviews, DAX measures, KPI suggestions, theme JSON files, chart recommendations, and chat responses. AI-generated content is provided as a starting point. You are responsible for verifying it before using it in production work.

We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or free of errors. Don't rely on BriqLab as a substitute for professional judgement. BriqLab does not provide financial, legal, or compliance advice.

You retain ownership of any content you upload to BriqLab and of the AI-generated outputs based on your prompts. We do not claim ownership of your projects, your data, or your generated DAX, themes, or reviews.

10. Your data and privacy

Your privacy matters. Our handling of your personal data and the data you upload to BriqLab is covered in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

In short: we do not train AI models on your customer data, we do not share your projects across accounts, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

11. Microsoft AppSource visuals

BriqLab publishes Power BI custom visuals on Microsoft AppSource. When installed from AppSource directly, those visuals are governed by Microsoft's marketplace terms in addition to ours. Per-user licensing through AppSource is independent of your BriqLab subscription.

12. Intellectual property

BriqLab, the BriqLab logo, the BriqLab name, the AI tools, the website, and all related materials are owned by BriqLab or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use BriqLab in accordance with these terms.

Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of BriqLab to you. "Power BI" is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation; BriqLab is independent of Microsoft.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if:

• You materially breach these terms
• Your payment fails and remains unresolved after notice
• We reasonably believe your use poses a security or legal risk to BriqLab or other users
• We are required to do so by law

On termination, your right to use BriqLab ends immediately. We will retain or delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14. Service availability

We work hard to keep BriqLab available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance, third-party outages, and force majeure events may affect availability. We don't provide uptime SLAs except on the Consultant tier, where any SLA terms will be set out in a separate written agreement.

15. Disclaimers

BriqLab is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, or statutory — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that BriqLab will meet your specific requirements, that AI-generated outputs will be accurate, or that errors will be corrected immediately.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BriqLab's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or your use of BriqLab is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or INR 10,000, whichever is greater.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold BriqLab harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of BriqLab, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on our website and, for material changes, notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of BriqLab after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

19. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

Before initiating any legal action, please first try to resolve the dispute by writing to hello@briqlab.io. We will respond within 14 business days and work in good faith to find a resolution.
