1.1 Website and Platform (briqlab.io)

1.2 Power BI Custom Visuals (Microsoft AppSource)

Our Power BI custom visuals are designed with privacy as a priority:

  • Our visuals do NOT collect, transmit, or store any personal data
  • Our visuals do NOT make external API calls or send data outside your Power BI environment
  • All data processed by our visuals remains entirely within your Power BI Desktop or Power BI Service environment
  • License validation is handled exclusively by Microsoft's built-in AppSource licensing system (host.licenseManager) — we do not receive or process your license or payment information
  • Trial period tracking uses your browser's localStorage, stored locally on your device only — this data never leaves your machine

1.3 Microsoft AppSource Offers

When you purchase a Briqlab Pro subscription through Microsoft AppSource:

  • All payment processing, billing, and license management is handled entirely by Microsoft
  • We receive only aggregated sales reports from Microsoft — we do not receive your individual payment details, credit card information, or billing address
  • Microsoft's Privacy Policy governs the purchase transaction: https://privacy.microsoft.com

2. How We Use Your Data

We use collected data to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • Process subscription payments and transactions (website only)
  • Send important product updates, feature announcements, and support communications
  • Personalize your user experience
  • Analyze website usage and improve our platform
  • Respond to support requests and customer enquiries

We do NOT use your data for:

  • Selling to advertisers or third parties
  • Automated profiling or decision-making
  • Any purpose unrelated to providing Briqlab services

3. Sharing and Security

3.1 We Never Sell Your Data

4. Power BI Visual Data Practices

This section specifically addresses how our Power BI custom visuals handle your data.

No Data Leaves Your Environment

All 22 Briqlab Power BI visuals process data exclusively within your Power BI environment. No data is transmitted to Briqlab servers or any third-party service.

No External Network Calls

Our visuals do not make fetch(), XMLHttpRequest, or any other external network calls. This has been verified as part of the Microsoft AppSource certification process.

Local Trial Storage

The 4-day free trial period is tracked using your browser's localStorage. This stores only a timestamp (trial start date) on your local device. This data:

  • Never leaves your device
  • Is not accessible to Briqlab
  • Can be cleared at any time via your browser's developer tools

Microsoft License Validation

License status (Pro or trial) is validated using Microsoft's host.licenseManager API, which is part of the Power BI platform. Briqlab does not receive or process your license credentials.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access, update, or delete your account information at any time
  • Opt out of marketing or promotional emails at any time
  • Request complete data deletion by contacting us — we will respond within 30 days
  • Withdraw consent for data processing where applicable
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

6. Cookies

Our website uses cookies to:

  • Provide a seamless experience (remember login sessions)
  • Personalize recommendations

Our Power BI visuals do not use cookies. They use browser localStorage only for trial period tracking (see Section 4).

  • Account data is retained for as long as your account is active
  • Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days
  • Anonymized/aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes
  • localStorage trial data in Power BI visuals is stored on your device until you clear it

8. International Data Transfers

Briqbi Analytics Private Limited is based in India. If you access our services from outside India, your data may be transferred to and processed in India or other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for all international data transfers.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
